EPL: Bukayo Saka equals Thierry Henry’s record after Arsenal’s latest win

Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka, on Boxing Day, equaled the club’s legend Thierry Henry’s record following his side’s Premier League 3-1 win against West Ham United.

Arsenal came from a 1-0 down to beat West Ham at Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals from Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah.

Saka’s goal against West Ham means the England international has now become Arsenal’s first player to score in three successive Boxing Day matches (2020, 2021 and 2022) since Henry (2002, 2003 and 2004).

Saka will now hope to continue his impressive display for Arsenal when they face Brighton on Saturday in their next game.

Speaking about Saka after Arsenal defeated West Ham, Henry told Prime Video that he wants the 21-year-old to turn himself into a ‘killer threat’ and a ‘player that is not nice’.

Henry said,

“He understands how important it is to win battles, how important it is for him to turn into a killer threat and a player that’s not nice.”
