Few days after the sack of their manager, Frank Lampard, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has put the club up for sale.

He is said to be demanding at least £500m.

The Toffees are currently flying second bottom in the table after a 10-game winless run.

The Guardian is reporting that the British-Iranian billionaire is now set to sell the club following fierce criticism he and fellow board members are receiving from Toffees’ fans in recent weeks.

The owner is said to be seeking to recoup the funds he has invested in the Merseyside outfit”s new stadium – which is being built at Bramley-Moore Dock.

A number of potential buyers have also indicated interest.

Some star players such as Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana have skipped training as they are trying to force their way out of the club.

Chelsea and Arsenal are believed to be interested in both players.
