American singer, R. Kelly has revealed he will continue to prove his innocence after being found guilty and convicted of s£x trafficking.

A jury of seven men and five women on Monday found Kelly, 54, guilty of all nine counts, including racketeering, on their second day of deliberations.

R. Kelly who wore a face mask below black-rimmed glasses, remained still with his eyes downcast, as the verdict was read in a U.S Federal court in Brooklyn, New York.

Prosecutors had alleged that the entourage of managers and aides who helped R. Kelly meet girls – and keep them obedient and quiet – amounted to a criminal enterprise.

The R&B legend also faces the possibility of decades in prison for crimes, including violating the Mann Act, an anti-s£x trafficking law that prohibits taking anyone across state lines “for any immoral purpose”. Sentencing is scheduled for May 4, 2022 – according to reports.

However, R. Kelly had also taken to his social media page to tell his fans that he will not rest until he proves his innocence of the allegations against him.

He wrote on Facebook:

“To all my fans and supporters I love you all and thank you for all the support. Today’s verdict was disappointing and I will continue to prove my innocence and fight for my freedom. ✊🏾❤️#notguilty”
