Sokoto senator dumps PDP for APC

Ibrahim Danbaba, the senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His defection letter was read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, during Wednesday April 27, plenary.

Danbaba said he left the PDP because of lingering crisis in Sokoto State chapter of the party. He added that the APC’s ideology is in line with his personal political belief.
